Diclofenac Sodium.

Indications:
Voltaren is used in the following cases:
* Arthritis cases: rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, acute gout.
* Migraine attacks.
* Acute musculoskeletal disorders and trauma such as periarthritis (particularly frozen shoulder), tendinitis, tenosynovitis, bursitis, sprains, strains and dislocations. Pain relief in fractures.
* Control of pain and inflammation in orthopedic, dental and other minor surgeries.
* Pyrophosphate arthropathy and related disorders.

Points of interest:
* Do not take aspirin for pain relief while using Voltaren ampoules.
* Do not take Voltaren if you are dehydrated due to severe vomiting or diarrhoea.
* Stop Voltaren and tell your doctor right away if you develop swollen ankles, trouble breathing, chest pain, black stools, or dark vomit.

Side effects of Voltaren ampoules:
* Headache.
* Nausea.
* Vomiting.
* Epigastric pain.
* Gastrointestinal bleeding.
* Diarrhoea.
* Dizziness.
* Disorientation.
* Excitation.
* Coma.
* Drowsiness.
* Tinnitus.
* Fainting or convulsions.

Cautions:
* Asthma.
* Active gastro-intestinal bleeding/ ulceration.
* Use in the setting of CABG surgery.
* Moderate to severe renal disease.
* Severe hepatic impairment; active hepatic disease.
* Elderly.

Interactions of Voltaren ampoules:
* Anticoagulants: avoid concomitant use with diclofenac. Increased risk of hemorrhage.
