Gasec 20 mg 14 Caps For Stomach Ulcers and Acidity

Take Gasec capsule once Or twice a day, 30 Minutes Before food. or as prescribed.

Omeprazole.

Point of interest:
* The patient should swallow the Gasec capsule whole and not chew or crush it.
* Patients should tell the doctor if they develop black stools or dark vomit.

Cautions:
* Patients at risk of osteoporosis should maintain an adequate intake of calcium and vitamin D.
* Should be prescribed only for appropriate indication at the lowest effective dose.
* Gasec capsule may reduce the absorption of vitamin B12.

Interactions of Gasec:
* Coumarins: anticoagulant effect of coumarins is possibly enhanced by omeprazole.
* Posaconazole: plasma concentration of posaconazole is possibly reduced by omeprazole.
* Atazanavir: omeprazole reduce plasma concentration of atazanavir.
* Clopidogrel: anti-platelet effect of clopidogrel is reduced by omeprazole.

Indications:
Gasec used for:
* Acid-related dyspepsia.
* GERD/ Reflux esophagitis.
* Gastric and duodenal ulcers.
* Gastric acid reduction during general anesthesia.
